Report of recalled Iams Cat Food remaining on store shelves. Save a pets life, check your grocery and/or retail chain pet food aisle.
On your next trip to the grocery or retail store, you could do something that could save the life of a pet. Check the pet food aisle to see if Iams ProActive Health canned Cat and Kitten Food has been removed from the shelf. Both the 3 oz. and the 5.5 oz cans with the date (on bottom of can) 9/2011 to 6/2012 has been recalled. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/pg-recalls-specific-canned-cat-foods-due-to-low-levels-of-thiamine-vitamin-b1-95985019.html
I have heard reports of pet owners finding the food still for sale.
Please check your store shelves. If you find the food, please call the store manager and alert them to the P&G Iams recall.
Taking a couple of minutes to do this could save a pets life.
Iams ProActive Health canned Cat and Kitten Food
Date on bottom of can 9/2011 to 6/2012.

Wishing you and your pet(s) the best,

Geez, how many times is Iams gonna sell substandard crap, do a quiet recall and depend on pet people to get the stuff off store shelves??!!
Cheap, that is what they are, Scrooge cheap, cat killing cheap, disgustingly cheap.
Ask Susan to spread the word because they can't be bothered and of course, she is not being paid to do this for the IAMS assholes. The websites IAMS controls and pays bury the story and do a quick "Oh look a squirrel" story to distract and the vets enjoy the money that rolls in from testing and damaged cat care!
All so...predictable....so sad.
If you are feeding an Iams product, pick up a shovel next time you buy the can O death, or pay for cremation, at least keep your pet from going into the next batch of soylent green .
My dog has been eating IAM's for about 2 years, since the day I got him. He has been getting violently sick on 2 occassions and it's only when he ate his food. I returned the food to the store, and they exchanged it for another bag. What do I do about something like this?
If your dog has gotten sick from a food, I believe he's telling you something very serious - this food does not agree with him. I would suggest listening to your dog; change foods. Try one with no by-products, no animal fat, no corn products.
