During the AAFCO meeting the FDA previewed a pet food safety video.  The following is the feedback I sent to Eric Nelson of FDA on the video. 

I'm relatively new to Google Plus (Google's version of Facebook).  But I have learned of a nifty little tool that Google Plus provides that I plan to utilize in 2012 beginning at the AAFCO Meeting next month - and that is Hang Out.

It is not looking positive.  Thank heavens Dr. Jean Hofve (holistic veterinarian and pet food safety advocate) will be joining me at the AAFCO Meeting next month - without her, it might be no one even speaks to me at the meeting.  Incoming AAFCO President Robert Waltz has not agreed to an interview and FDA Official Dr. Dan McChesney has not responded to two requests for interview. 

I am very hopeful that 2012 will be a very good year for our efforts to improve the safety, quality and transparency of pet food.  But before we start a new year, I'd like to thank all of you for 2011.

Following posting the information of the FDA Warning letter to Science Diet, I heard from a TAPF friend in England.  It seems Science Diet's advertising is being challenged in the UK too.  Maybe you've seen that Science Diet claim Vet's No. 1 Choice?  Well...

On the most recent list of FDA Warning Letters was Science Diet.  The FDA is not pleased at how Science Diet promotes/advertises their "Healthy Mobility Diet".  Here's what the FDA said...

Stupidity in the pet food industry, some things just never seem to change do they?  For the third straight year, TruthaboutPetFood would like to remind all of the stupidity that occurred this year and accept your votes for the Stupidest Act in Pet Food for 2011.

For the very first time...I will answer the #1 question I'm asked...What pet foods do I trust and would feed to my own pets without hesitation?  The answer to that question will be unvieled in The List.
