Tigress (or Tiger for short) was a beautiful sweet American Staffordshire Terrier.  She was expected to live a long and happy life of at least 12 yrs.  She died at 6 from stomach cancer.  My farm dogs had always lived a long time being fed scraps and left overs.  But I wanted her to have the best, so I fed her kibble with 'all the nutients'.  Her death was a tragedy.

Sugar, my "furst-born" Sheltie, died in early 2007 after suffering from renal failure that was diagnosed in early January.  Vet's initial thoughts were "food poisoning" but since none of my other dogs were impacted, and we couldn't prove anything, she died in my arms.  My heart was broken again, when about a month later, one of her 'siblings" came down with the same troubles.  By then, we knew the evil was Natural Balance/Menu Foods suppliers, but it was too late.  Ms Fancy died in July.   Sugar's loss was most acute, because she was my first and heart dog and I watched her wither away - Ms. Fancy's was more difficult to deal with because by the time she passed, I knew I could have done something more, somehow being more diligent...anything.

I can't prove anything - how many can when they don't ask for the proof until after you've cremated the remains?

My cat died 09/07 due to ingesting poisoned food sold by Menu Foods. I contacted the company within weeks of the initial vet visit, then contacted a law firm handling class action after my cat died. I assumed that after sending all required documentation...vet bills & invoice for cremation,it would be handled & was informed that my claim was submitted . I later learned that I,myself had to file with the claims administrator.(This was learned after the "deadline to file").The law firm said to send in the form & documentation with the email from them stating that I was on the original list of clients.I did so,received a claim case #,and waited.

Today I received a denial letter because I missed the filing date !

If anyone can give me direction as how to proceed with this,I would greatly appreciate any & all assistance.

Thank you !......Sue
